Study group (Confidentiality Committee) on common infrastructure standards for circular business was established.
We, the Circular Economy Association (CEA), established the study group on common infrastructure standards for circular business on 7 February 2025.
This study group was established as a closed study group based on a proposal from AIST Solutions (*1), a member of the Circular Economy Association, with the aim of promoting the development of circular businesses.
The group focuses on common infrastructure standards which have been proposed by Hitachi-AIST Circular Economy Cooperative Research Laboratory (H-AIST CE Lab.)(*2), also a member of the Circular Economy Association. Examples of such infrastructure include indicators for assessing circular businesses and a data platform for product information (including product quality information, etc.). Strategies for international rule-making, opportunities for collaboration with relevant organizations, and the development of new work item proposals for international standards will be discussed within the group.
